Prepare food, fuel and clothing for the journey

Use the edition-specific tools before a long trip. Food freshness, available fuel and body temperature are separate problems, so a good answer for one does not solve the others. Compare the same units and choose the conditions you expect, rather than treating every duration as a promise in all weather.

Choose your edition in each tool. For fuel, set the fire, fuel amount and rain; for freshness, set storage, air temperature and remaining freshness. Choose clothing and the temperature settings shown for your edition. Follow each selected item’s page to find its recipe and uses. Together and the classic editions have separate calculations.
