饥荒联机版在主菜单的“模组”按钮中启用模组：“服务器模组”页是世界运行的模组，“客户端模组”页是只在你电脑上运行的模组。
服务器模组要么只在服务器上运行，要么要求每位加入的玩家下载。需要其他模组的模组会在“依赖其他模组”中列出依赖，启用时自动订阅。饥荒模组会注明是否兼容巨人国、海难和哈姆雷特。
