饑荒聯機版在主選單的「模組」按鈕中啟用模組：「伺服器模組」頁是世界執行的模組，「客户端模組」頁是只在你電腦上執行的模組。
伺服器模組要麼只在伺服器上執行，要麼要求每位加入的玩家下載。需要其他模組的模組會在「依賴其他模組」中列出依賴，啟用時自動訂閱。饑荒模組會註明是否相容巨人王朝、海難和哈姆雷特。

目前已知RPG items模组有两个bug： 1.原版的影后月后装备在耐久归零时，会失去可装备组件，但rpg items模组的词条是默认带有可装备组件才实现的，因此带有词条的影后月后装备耐久归零时会导致崩溃。 本mod手动调整了影后月后装备的修补实现方式，保留可装备组件并使用了可代替该组件实现原有功能的方式。简单测试后解决了崩溃的问题。 2.本mod中武器的各种效果触发概率均与武器的面板伤害挂钩，但女武神新盾牌的面板伤害是一个函数，无法参与计算，因此会导致崩溃。 对于这个问题，本模组修改了blessed与s
