饑荒聯機版在主選單的「模組」按鈕中啟用模組：「伺服器模組」頁是世界執行的模組，「客户端模組」頁是只在你電腦上執行的模組。
伺服器模組要麼只在伺服器上執行，要麼要求每位加入的玩家下載。需要其他模組的模組會在「依賴其他模組」中列出依賴，啟用時自動訂閱。饑荒模組會註明是否相容巨人王朝、海難和哈姆雷特。
