Words of the Constant
Darkness is looming.
I might survive this night!
A vision of a frozen-over Hell!
The gloom encroaches.
It's a weird fire.
That is not a good sign.
Is the emptyness all around us now?
East.
I am directionless.
North.
Northeast.
Northwest.
North. No wait, South.
Southeast.
Southwest.
West.
Rot and decay.
I suppose this will do well enough.
Ashes to ashes.
Dry and brittle.
Food for worms.
It's far too watery, the poor plants might drown.
It's poop. Sigh.
Shall I even bother building this?
What's the point of filling my stomach when my heart remains empty...
It was a good death. You will be delicious.
The remaining blood has been cooked away.
Cooked evil is still evil.
Fire has purified it.
Their faces are twisted with hunger.
I'm protected, but at what cost to my dignity.
All that remains of its former occupant.
The writing has been smudged away, the words forgotten.
Burnt to a crisp.
Whatever's in there isn't dead yet.
It needs to boil.
Finally, food.
As empty as my soul.
It seems alive but not.
It's matted, patchy and putrid.
I could make a corny joke, but I'll refrain.
This corn couldn't handle the heat.
I could pop enough corn for everyone.
The seed of life, so tiny in my hand.
Shall we play a game of dress-up, Abigail?
Shall we play a game of dress-up, Abigail?
Shall we play a game of dress-up, Abigail?
Shall we play a game of dress-up, Abigail?
Shall we play a game of dress-up, Abigail?
So pretty.
